![]() ![]() ![]() I am feeling more invested in the series and definitely curious what will happen next. She has a slight note of awe in her voice at times that fits Darcy wonderfully. She has a very warm quality to her voice that keeps the read flowing. It could have been a glitch in the upload or the production. ![]() I am still bothered by her weird "o"s, but her pace feels more natural. I love the familiars!! I liked this narration by Coleen Marlo much better than the first. This also gives us more of the villagers that we loved in the first book. I expect at least one of these plots to seep into future books. A good cozy gives you more than one mystery to solve. There are a couple side plots that keep Darcy and Nick on their toes. ![]() We get to learn more about them with the introduction of Geo-crafters and magical charmed objects. This mystery also brings us more into the culture of the crafters. Now that we have all that established, we can get into some serious cozy mystery solving. I liked this book much better than the first, mostly because the first book spent more time setting up the world and how things work there. Seriously, did we need to get all that information again? It was way more repetitive than I like, but thankfully it was only the beginning of the book. Well, that was certainly the most rapid fire recap of events and exposition from the first book. ![]()
